I found the neon again. OvO

I like this and I don't. Not sorry either way. This is an art for my NaNo '12 project, Hell or High Water~ It's gonna be great. The characters here are referred to Protag (he has a name, and it will even be revealed in story!), Daniel, and Rosalie.

I don't like shoulders, but I drew them anyway. :iconsothereplz:

(edit: I darkened Rosalie's skin tone. Originally she was so pale due to the color palette I had used, but it bothered me, so I just went darker even if it wasn't exactly true to the palette. Just so you all know, Rosalie is black, not white. (And in my headcanon, protag is biracial but takes after his dad more, who is white.) So yeah.)

Characters & shit > me

IT NEEDS MORE NEON FOR ME TO BE COMPLETELY SATISFIED (and rosalie's skin has to be darker but that makes it hard with the palette aaaaa) BUT IT IS CLOSE. (ideally I'd make one of bonnie/the twins/someone else and THAT WOULD NEON IT UP)

... I don't know why, but I always considered Rosalie to be black.

And from stalky-stalkness, you're going to be switching POVs? I've only read one story thus far where it was done well, and it had like different font for the different characters, different paragraphing structure and everything. YOU DON'T MAKE THINGS EASY FOR YOURSELF, DO YOU SKITTY?

/sobs SHE IS. But the color palette worked against me! It was either use that lightish one or the fuschia one and honestly both looked pretty terrible. (But I colored her skin, whereas the other two stayed white and only got shading.) Eventually I'll break away from the neon long enough to do actual-color things for them, especially because hair colors <3

Yes, and no? It'll all be first person, but split between those three characters. I'll only be doing those breaks once, not back and forth, so I figure actual "END OF PART ONE" things and "START OF PART TWO" should divide things up neat enough.

NEON HATES BLACK PEOPLE! Spread the word.

Also, I always imagined that Daniel would be more of a pretty boy than he is there. AND WHAT HAPPENED TO PROTAG REMAINING NAMELESS?! I remember how adamant you were about that :P

Ahhh, okay. That makes a lot more sense. WHERE IS THIS BOOK, WOMAN?! I WISH TO READ IT. SKIMMING THROUGH YOUR BRAIN FOR HINTS ON IT IS NOT SUSTAINING ENOUGH.

NEON IS TOO COLORFUL; IT IS RACIST. Though seriously it made me so sad and I delved deep into my feelings of white guilt. D:

He's totally a pretty boy, hahahaha. I was even tempted to make him one of those scene-ish punk boys but nah. HE WAS GONNA BE NAMELESS IF HE WAS THE ONLY ONE. But since he's not, there's no way he could be nameless and still have a cohesive plot.

But my brain has so many hints. And think, soon, you'll actually be able to ~READ~ it in real time! I could do like what that one woman's doing and put it on a googledoc as I write it, so people can read it as I go.

BLASTED NEON, IT HAS EVERY COLOUR BUT BLACK. And you should delve into your feelings of white guilt. Feel bad! Feel very bad! :P (That said, the majority of characters EVERYWHERE are white. I don't think there's very many successful books where the protag isn't a variation of straight white male.)

Hahahaha. I don't think you could get away with him being clueless about his sexuality as much if he was scene-ish. And gooo~ood. You shall never be able to write another story with a protag without a name.

But they're all scrambly hints! At the moment I'm just plucking things in no particular order.

And who is this woman and what googledoc is this and how do I not know about this?!

I've used black in neon for the contrast (see: the dominatrix series) but that seems even worse. XD (That is honestly part of why I'm glad to be writing this. Protag is somewhat ambiguous but definitely gay, Daniel is white but sexually ambiguous, and Rosalie is black and here to fuck everything up.)

I've never written a story with a protag without a name. .w. They always get named, just how far in...

I can't remember her name now but it's a fantasy novel. When I checked in she had either seven chapters or seventy-seven pages, can't remember which. Google it!

But wait! I remember you mentioning about how this is gonna be a series. In which case, ignore above thing, as I suppose you will be doing a different character's viewpoint for each book?

Ahhh this looks so great; I'm also excited to read it :3
Still not sure what I'm doing for NaNo, probably a Nuzlocke comic or something that doesn't really count like that XD
