Emilie Autumn – Misery Loves Company

"Get the fuck away from me."

"What the—? You PMSing or something?" Scott reeled back, surprised—and hurt—by the venom in her voice. He reached out again and placed his hand, so lightly, on her shoulder. Ree tensed and hunched her shoulders a bit more, shifting so her back was still to him.

"I am not. I'm just—it's been a bad day." She finally sighed, all of the tension flowing out of her body and melting into sadness instead. She half-turned towards him, holding out her hands, palms up. They were covered in dried blood.

"Please remind me that it's not that time of the month," he said, eyes wide, unsure of what else to say. She snorted, unimpressed by the weak attempt at a joke. "What happened?" She looked down again, using her bushy bangs to shield her eyes. "Ree, what happened?"

"Aubie, that little shit, brought in another pidove."

Scott said nothing more and only wrapped his arms around her, pulling her against his chest. She didn't cry, or sob, or anything dramatic or emotional. She only sighed again and rested her cheek against him.

Good Charlotte – I Don't Wanna Be In Love

Ree stumbled out of bed, eyes still shut, trying to pretend she was still asleep. Her bladder had other plans, however. She groped around in the darkness until she found denim, and pulled the jeans on. Behind her, Scott rolled over with a whine. "Goin' to the bathroom," she grunted.

"Wrong jeans," he sleepily replied. Ree didn't bother answering, although that did explain why they were falling off her hips. She hiked them up again and picked her bra out of the pile of clothes. "They don't fit you, get yours..." Scott mumbled into his arm.

"They'll be fine," Ree growled back. She already didn't like being awake that early, and having a conversation was only reminding her of that. She didn't bother finding a shirt, figuring everyone else in the house was asleep, and stumbled out the door.

A shriek and a thump later, Scott pushed himself out of bed to investigate. He found Ree face-first on the floor, ass in the air and jeans bunched around her knees. He only chuckled and helped her up.

Lady Gaga – Born This Way

"You look gorgeous," Maya gushed with a dreamy sigh. She slid down and rested her chin in her hands, elbows on the desk. "Oh, Ree, you should be a model. You look like one right now. Can I take more pictures?"

Ree simply sighed, staring at herself in the mirror. Her hair was straightened and put up in some sort of elaborate braid. Her eyes were highlighted with eyeshadow and a hint of liner, her lips reddened and glossy, her bangs finally held out of her eyes to boot. "I think mom's already got that covered." Cue more gleeful clicking away in the background.

"You could be like Elesa. You could pull off any of her looks!"

"I'm not as thin as she is," Ree scoffed.

"You're taller, though!" Maya would not be put off. "Oh, Ree, can't you pretend to be proud of how pretty you are? Just for tonight?"

"Pfft. Why?" She pulled at one of her earrings, annoyed. Her normal ones, those twisty ones she liked so much, had to be taken out and replaced. She could take a lot, but that was just a low blow. She could be classy and pretty with some of her normal looks intact, thank you.

"Just be happy. I bet Scott will be putty in your hands."

"You're implying that he normally isn't," Ree said, cocking an eyebrow. Maya only chuckled, annoyingly knowingly. She looked away with a roll of her eyes. "Whatever. I just wish tonight was over already."

"And you're not even in the dress yet."

Later that night, Ree was immensely pleased with how she looked, if only for the sole reason of making Scott increasingly uncomfortable. Every so often, she would whisper suggestive little nothings into his ear. What had elicited the best blush thus far had been "I wonder how my hair will tousle while straight." He was odd like that. She could be as blunt as sin and it would still be the barest hints that got to him.

He was so cute and innocent when he blushed. Looking almost as if he didn't have that devious, roguish side she knew all too well. She had behaved, though, been a perfect, pristine little doll throughout the ceremony. She hardly paid attention, true, but he had only wanted her to come, not pay attention. At least it hadn't been boring.

The ride back was more fun. Ree was merciless in her teasing, and even if he got a couple jabs back at her, he was captive while driving. He knew it, too; it was why he usually preferred not to drive her anywhere farther than ten minutes away. He still won out, though, if only for his tendency to focus on the ideas again.

In fact, she had spent half the ride back with the top of her dress around her waist, only in a strapless bra, and he was still wondering how her hair would act while straightened.

Blood On The Dance Floor – Lovestruck

It was at the concert that Scott realized he loved her.

Practically deaf from the screaming and the pounding of the music, he happened to turn at the right time to see Ree cup her hands around her mouth, shouting, voice lost in the crowd. Grinning, eyes screwed shut, jumping up and down with her excitement.

She was cute at times, beautiful at others. She was a fan of music and wasn't self-conscious like other girls. She loved video games and while she wasn't a trainer, didn't mind his pokémon and they loved her. His mother approved of her and her parents adored him. She was confident and not shy and spoke her mind (however filthy it could be).

She grabbed his hand suddenly and planted a rather sloppy kiss on his cheek. It wasn't romantic or planned and it wasn't as if he suddenly had butterflies in his stomach or anything. Scott simply kept hold of her hand and laughed, sound lost with the rest of the concert.

The song ended, and the band took a moment to catch their breath and talk to the crowd. Scott took the opportunity to lean over and shout over the noise, "We'll be deaf for weeks after this one."

"What?" she called back, leaning into him.

"I said we'll be deaf!" he repeated, even more loudly.

She shrugged and shook her head, still not hearing him. He couldn't help but laugh again when he realized how true his words already were.

"Alright, ladies! This one, we're gonna need your help!" the singer on stage crooned into the mic. Ree jumped up and down again, waving her arms. She looked like a dork, but at least it meant she knew what song was coming up. They only had one song with a female lead in it, and that singer wasn't at this concert.

"I love this song!" Ree mouthed as the drummer started up the beat.

He was content to watch her sing along, although he could tell she switched two of the verses at one point. He knew she wasn't the best singer around. No one was perfect.

But she was close enough for him. Scott wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her against his side, pressing his lips into her curly hair. She never heard the first time he confessed, "I love you."

NEWS – Murarisuto

Scott put on his aviator sunglasses as Ree squinted into the bright afternoon light. She glared at him for getting out of suffering with her. "Why do you like those things so much?"

"They make me look cool," Scott replied simply.

"Maybe a decade or two ago..."

"Where do you want to go on your date, sweetie-pie?" he asked in a baby voice, steering the conversation away from his sunglasses. He liked them, thank you very much. That was more than enough for him.

It was their second date, and they were already bickering like they'd been going out for years.

He took it as a good sign.

"I wanna go to La Biche. Maya says it's good."

Scott agreed to let her choose the date's parameters, just so long as he could wear his sunglasses. He really did think they looked awesome on him, but more than that? They shielded his eyes. He could happily stare down her shirt the entire date and she'd be none the wiser.

Panic! At The Disco – I Write Sins Not Tragedies

"Oh my god, what a whore," Ree said, craning her neck to look at the very pregnant girl who just walked past them in the mall. She had to have been about their age. Scott turned and looked as well. "Pregnant? And she's a teenager. Close your legs, seriously."

"You're one to talk," he mumbled, probably hoping she wouldn't hear.

"What? Well, I'm definitely closing my legs tonight."

"You know what I mean." Scott sighed, defeated and morose. He hadn't meant to make her angry. Or lose the potential to score that night. "Sex isn't wrong, necessarily. My mom doesn't mind it. Just so long as you're careful and you're not with a different person every night or anything..."

"Your mom ignores it," Ree corrected. She crossed her arms and ducked out from under the arm he had around her shoulders. "You have a point—but still. What does she think she's gonna do with her life? Live in a trailer and work retail the rest of her life?"

"Way to be cynical. And stereotypical. What if she wanted it? She could be a couple years older than us, or even married already."

"...Well I'm just saying. Girls don't need to get knocked up. You know how many girls were pregnant in my graduating class? Seventeen, Scottie. And that's just the ones that were showing or everyone knew about."

"Such strong feelings. You never want to have kids?" He grabbed her again, nuzzling into her bushy hair. "You don't wanna start a family one day? Be fat for nine months and then shove a baby out your vagina?" He moved his other hand down, pressing it against her stomach.

"When you put it that way, it sounds revolting. Fucking gross so no. If you want to have kids, go look at your team, or get another girlfriend."

"But I like the one I have."

"Then don't talk as if we're gonna be together forever and get married and have bushels of babies. Makes me feel weird." She shrugged him off once more and strode on ahead. He sighed and trailed after her.
Just some mini drabbles set to random songs about Ree's pre-life training! Mild spoilers and implications. And some of her pre-preggers views on being preggers. Let's face it, we've all been there, thinking a teenage girl is a slut for getting pregnant. Shame on you.

I'm just aware at how much this focuses on Ree's looks. Whoops! I really don't want her to be that super pretty trainer girl. Scott is biased, so of course he think she's pretty, and Ree happens to clean up well. Otherwise, she's not stunning regularly.
